So, as I said earlier, there’s some hardcore Little Red Riding Hood symbolism going on with Teen Wolf. Most recently of course, in the sneak peek of episode four.
If you go as far back as the Grimm’s, you can find a ridiculous amount of psychoanalysis about the story of Red and The Big Bad Wolf. General consensus over the years is that the story is allegory for a self empowered girl saving herself from evil without the assistance of others.
Of note, in hindsight, is that Stiles wears red in the infamous pool scene, and actually plays out not only the ‘saving herself’ arc of Little Red Riding Hood, but saves the wolf as well.
