ok let me talk for a minute about why i think the word “transtrender” is so gross and harmful to trans* and queer people in general
the meaning of the word transgender literally is just identifying as a gender other than the one you were designated at birth. there are no other…

Basically if you are not deeply critical of your own creative endeavors at least some of the time, you are probably either Gilderoy Lockhart or Steven Moffat.
At the beginning of Fireflies when/how Derek says “That wasn’t part of the plan.”, was I the only one that was “Well, fuck, Derek and Stiles have been spending waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time together.”?
Has anyone else noticed that Scott has answered his phone every single time this season?
I’m so proud; he’s all grown up.
The worst thing about Teen Wolf is that continuity is so bad sometimes that we can’t be certain whether all the disappearance/reappearance stuff is based in continuity issues or Jeff trying to be mystical-magickal.
OMG SOMEONE HOLD ME A ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOL IS INTERVIEWING ME TO POTENTIALLY BE THEIR PART-TIME ART TEACHER AND I’M FREAKING OUT AND I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO AND I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK ME OFF OF THIS LEDGE BECAUSE WHO EVEN THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA AND I’M GOING TO TOTALLY BE AWFUL AND MESS THEM UP BEYOND BELIEF AND I’M GETTING AHEAD OF MYSELF BUT I DON’T CARE BECAUSE OMG WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE
So, I’ve been looking at the school’s stie, and I’m thinking that this is not remotely going to be a fit. So—the pressures off a bit?

season 4: allison and stiles get sick of nobody listening to their superior plans, become super villains, defeat everyone in half an hour
We get, despite a long beginning that situates the Fall of Krypton, a Clark unmoored and alone, never staying in one place, uncertain of who he is and what he will become. We are presented with a Clark that saves people—is the everyday hero with extraordinary abilities—but who struggles to balance that ability to do Great Good with a very human darkness of soul that wants vengeance and revenge, that has the ability to do Great Evil.
He is a Clark Kent struggling to step into the light.
And, this Clark Kent has been world-walking, and we are, further into the film, given the impression that this happened as a direct result of Jonathon’s death and a fight that preceded it that had essentially a “You’re not my real dad” flavor to it.
Clark’s world-walking is very reminiscent of Martha Jones, The Woman Who Walked the Earth, in Doctor Who except that Martha was trying to spread a legend by which belief would be garnered.
And Clark?
Clark is running from everyone and everything, trying to figure out who and what he is.

He Will Be an Outcast; He Will Be a God: A Review of Man of Steel(via therainbowhub)
It’s that time of the week again when I subject y’all to my overly-prosaic writings.
This week? Man of Steel.
